Andrea Strong Talks NYC School Lunches and Nutritional Education

0

Andrea Strong joins the NotAFoodie Team to talk about her background in Food Blogging and Journalism and her current role as a food advocacy leader working with the New York City school system.

Andrea started a Wellness Council at the school her children attend after seeing what they were being fed. She revamped the schools menu, incorporated nutrition classes, and started a school garden. Her hope now is to bring the NYC Healthy School Food Alliance to the forefront and revamp all of NYC Public School foods with more scratch cooking, nutrition education, in school gardens, and longer lunches.
