Opposition to the new homeless shelter in Glendale

0

The City of New York approved the plan to create a homeless shelter at 78-16 Cooper Ave. in Glendale. The shelter will serve 200 men, starting in spring 2020. The residents of Glendale, supported by councilman Robert Holden, do not approve of the idea.

As councilman Holden states, the city seemed to accept his proposal, of using the site to create a new school for District 75. Now Holden feels, that the City changed the decision, without consulting with him.

Councilman holds a town-hall on the proposal on September 19 at 7 p.m. at PS/IS 119 przy 74-01 78 Ave. Glendale.
