Pierożek Restaurant, located at 592 Manhattan Ave. in Greenpoint, organized the second pierogi eating contest – the occasion was the National Pierogi Day, celebrated on October 8 in the USA!
Pierożek has been spreading the flavors of Polish cuisine in New York since the restaurant was opened in 2019. The second edition of the contest took place a week ago. The winner, who ate 57 pierogi in five minutes, was awarded $ 500 in cash prize by the restaurant. A cash prize was also given for the second place. In 2021, in the first edition of the competition, the winner ate 88 pierogi within five minutes!
