Pork Drought: Three years ago a legendary smokehouse Edwards Virginia Smokehouse burned down and has been operating out of temporarily locations ever since. They have not been able to recoup the over 2 million dollars in product lost as well the over 20 million dollar smokehouse from their insurance company. If they cannot get the money back they will have to fold and NY’s top restaurants will no longer be able to get what they deem the best pork

Philadelphia’s Famous Tony Luke’s is coming up the NJ Turnpike to open up 7 locations in NYC and its surrounding areas. 1 in each borough, Yonkers, and Long Island. The first confirmed location is in Brooklyn on Flatbush Avenue in Downtown Brooklyn

Cattle Farmers in the Midwest are trying to ban the word “meat” for companies like Beyond Meat and Impossible Foods in their advertising
